Thanks for this informative article! I do have one issue to bring up. While the meta analysis you link shows an association of grip strength with longevity, it does not indicate that grip strength is causal. I suspect it is much more likely that people with a strong grip are also healthier in other ways which leads to longevity. I doubt these people are living longer because of grip strength itself. If it were true that strong grip causes people to live longer, by what mechanism would you propose this occurs?
